Lol, oooh baby. I must see one every few months. Last one before this the customer wanted other stuff fixed but not the lamp motor. I reasoned they manually raise it or don’t drive at night.

If I ever get a ride with pops I’m wiring up some relays and a Wink Button

Is it an expensive repair?

Not always. New motors can be on some cars of all makes but aftermarket and used are usually available. I’ve had to get GM and Honda ones only at work and just for customers or used car department. All I’ve encountered myself have been gears, fuses, relays and limits switches. I can’t recall what it was on my 1983 Prelude but I once had them wink on me and it was a somewhat simple fix like connection. I know I had to replace a fuse a couple of times, can’t recall if it was because lamp froze down in winter. I just had to get a C5 Vette lamp motor for a local shop and it was about $300. They don’t go bad as much as they used to and I think on older surviving cars the bad parts have been weeded out on most by now. I get very few calls on them.
